I'm unsure of how recent this is, and it may even be a repost, but I was searching for information on modifying Ecotecs and I came across something that deserves exposure. The only thread I found was from 2006 -2007 when g5mike installed the cam wrong and broke some parts. I am looking for 2.4 information specifically. The posts I did find said the 2.2 does not have VVT like the 2.4. Found this on GMI and i thought it would be useful in the performance section. Problem being the 2.2 motor keeps coming up in the posts not the 2.4 VVT.
